Gulf has always been a favorite career destination for expatriates from all around the world. Employment opportunities in Gulf and UAE have been bouncing back in full vigor this year. The scars that recession had left by making hundreds of people jobless last year are now being healed by job creation.
Gulf job market has abundance of career opportunities for well trained and highly skilled professionals across various sectors. Those who possess the required skill set, expertise and experience in their respective fields are welcomed with open arms in both Gulf and UAE. According to a survey, more than a quarter of companies in UAE are planning recruitments in the coming months.
Though the job growth will accelerate, experts believe it will reach an exceptional level as in 2007 and 2008. They are predicting normal employment growth i.e. single digit growth even in major cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and UAE. The employment situation before global financial crisis can not be restored in some sectors like real estate, etc. that had suffered due to declining sales, project delays and cancellations that prompted businesses to axe staff.
The nationals in the total workforce are expected to rise from around 8% in 2006 to almost 10% this year. Even the percentage of women in the Emirati workforce is anticipated to rise from 25 in 2006 to 32 in 2011. Employment growth is definitely going to pick though it may or may not match earlier figures of 2007.
A new hope has risen for those who had lost their high paying jobs in last 18 months. They can now look forward to getting new opportunities with better pay scales and lifestyle standards. The cost of living has also reduced as a consequence to recession and so, higher savings can be made.
