The rapid urbanization of the emirate and the efforts of the government have been the main reasons for such growing economy and increasing Abu Dhabi job vacancies. Since the infrastructure of the city is developing, the jobs in architecture and construction have also boosted. The positions are open for both expats and locals. The positions mainly demand skilled and experienced professionals, but there are certain positions open for freshers also.

The architects are mostly required to design vernacular and contemporary structures that are airy and spacious. You can also see some stylish skyscrapers in the emirate of Abu Dhabi which define sophistication and elegance. The same classic pattern can be seen in the designs of shopping malls, recreational centres, museum and office buildings too. The buildings are not designed in a single style, but you can also see some great designs as seen in the western and other developed cities. There is a plan named Abu Dhabi Plan 2030, which is aimed towards constructing high rise buildings in the city and set new standards in the global architecture and construction industry. Most of the projects have been approved by the government, among which many of them are started and are about to complete in the near future.
