The Human resource issues are getting importance in the Gulf
nations. The Gulf nation’s economies are mostly dependent of petro-dollars
structures and require expats as their basic work force. The economies of
various nations are diversifying from being the petrol dependent nations. Some
of them are establishing as financial hubs while others are becoming tourism
spots.
Many cities of Gulf are also establishing itself as the next
destination for medical tourism. These cities are also becoming hotspots
destinations for shopping and trading. Besides the oil and gas jobs in the Middle
East, the HR departments of numerous companies in Dubai are trying to attract
expats for jobs in other sectors.
The economy of many Gulf countries like UAE, Bahrain and Qatar is
chiefly dependent on the oil and natural gas sector, other sectors are slowly
making its impact and contributing to the economy. Dubai in UAE has plenty of
employment opportunities in the other sectors. Jobs in Dubai are available in
the financial and banking sector and in the tourism and hospitality sector.
Whether are recruiting for jobs in Dubai or jobs in Bahrain, the HR
faces the same issues. To take care of HR issues, the 5th Annual People
Challenge Middle East Summit on the Sep 2012 is planned to discuss important
issues facing the economy. The job challenges faced and how to handle current
job positions is expected to be discussed in this summit. This summit is
supposed to be held at Dubai’s Beach Rotana from 17th - 19th September 2012.

Best in compensations
Research findings on Employee
Motivation across various UAE organizations
