Working and Searching Jobs in Abu Dhabi

This topic is definitely worth discussing! Everyone heading for Abu Dhabi jobs asks: how do I get a job? What about wages? Can women work? Those are among other questions, whose answers are mostly sought.

What is required to get a job?

To work as an expatriate, it requires a work visa. Usually companies seek staff with experience and English speaking skills, at least at the level which is necessary to communicate at the workplace. Fluency in Arabic speaking is also very useful.

To work as a local employee, it is required to have a family visa, which allows the family of the expatriates to find employment here, especially for their wives and daughters. The visa is mostly required for all the positions, be it administrative positions or other professional positions.

Working for women
In the oil and gas sector, the companies prefer hiring men. Although women have also joined the industry as administrative or office staff, but jobs at refineries are still not open for them. It is pretty tough for single women to obtain work visa.

How to apply and where to look for a job opportunity?
Most companies and organizations post their vacancies on their websites for recruitment processes. However, global search engines like Google, Yahoo, or others can be used for searching the best jobs in Abu Dhabi . Expats from countries like USA, Canada, India or the Arab countries do not need to worry about the Visa for Abu Dhabi, as there is provision to obtain visa upon arrival.

A tourist visa can be obtained through a hotel as long as you stay there; however, there is limit of only a month. Employment processes can last for much longer time, unless you have very good contacts. For the Abu Dhabi job, the companies trust candidates who have come through referrals.
